1910s Proposal

While flipping through some old postcards I purchased a few years ago, I came across this one with giddy excitement.

Annie
Please Say Yes
"Silent"
1910

I can't think of anything quite so fun as to stumble upon an Edwardian proposal written on a postcard that says "Can I play in your Yard," all the while being from this mysterious "Silent."
Kids mystery novel from the 90s?  Quite.  And it's all mine.

It doesn't have to be a proposal.  Maybe he's begging her to watch his dog whilst he visits Granny.
But who wants to think that?  It's over 100 years old, and my imagination is entitled to a little fun.  Maybe he was off doing some heroic deed when he wrote these desperate words.  And look at the stunning handwriting!
I'd say yes.
